# MealOS

> Price-aware recipe, meal-planning and food-budgeting platform for a household. Agents welcome: every tool is
> one contract served over MCP and REST.

Money is integer minor units with a currency; converted amounts are approximate and cite their rate date.
Only read tools run directly; anything that changes data becomes a proposal a person approves.

- Auth: public tools need no key; others need `Authorization: Bearer <agent key>`, issued by the household owner

## Tools

- `ping` (read, public): Health check. Returns pong, echoing the optional message. Reads no household data; safe to call without a key.
- `search_recipes` (read, principal): Search the household's recipes by title (case- and accent-insensitive) among its 200 newest. Omit query to list the newest. Returns slugs for get_recipe.
- `get_recipe` (read, principal): One recipe with its ingredient lines in order (as written, parsed, and normalized to g, ml or count where the household catalog allows) and its steps in order. No prices.
- `create_draft_recipe` (low, principal): Create a recipe from free-text ingredient lines and steps, marked unreviewed until a household member reviews it. Quantities are parsed from each line. Never touches prices.
- `create_ingredient` (low, principal): Add an ingredient to the household catalog. Refused when the name, ignoring case and diacritics, is already an ingredient's name, plural or alias there. No conversion data and no prices.
